Privacy Policy

NSMQ Contest ("the App") is a fan-made quiz training game developed by Project VIEW. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Profile information: when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
• Data you provide: your chosen school, and any profile details you add.
• Game activity: your match results, scores, and leaderboard stats.
• Basic usage data: limited technical data needed to run the service (e.g. to secure and troubleshoot).

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and profile.
• To run the game, calculate scores, and display leaderboards.
• To verify identities and prevent misuse of the game.
• To provide support and respond to your requests.

3. Third-party services

We use trusted third parties to provide parts of the service:

• Google — for sign-in (Google OAuth) and, where applicable, advertising (Google AdMob / AdSense). Google may place cookies or use identifiers for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — hosts the database that stores profiles, scores, and match history.

4. Advertising

We may display advertising in the App. Ad providers (such as Google) may collect or use information about your device and app usage to show ads, including interest-based ads. You can control personalized advertising through your device and Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your profile and match history while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from inside the App (Profile → Delete my account), which removes your profile and match history. We may retain limited records where required by law.

6. Children

The App is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
